This wool is grown at Cloverleaf Corriedale stud which is near Bacchus Marsh, between Ballarat and Melbourne. Its journey from fleece to yarn all happens within Victoria: first it’s scoured in Geelong, then processed at Wangaratta Woollen Mill, and finally hand-dyed in Ballarat using local materials.
All naturally dyed yarns have some variation and should be considered semi-solid. If you need shades to match, make sure you get them from the same batch, or contact me for a custom dye job.
Caring for naturally dyed textiles
Natural dyes fade gently over time, especially with washing and exposure to sunlight. This change is part of their natural beauty and uniqueness. To keep the colours bright for as long as possible, be sure to wash gently and infrequently, dry in the shade, and don’t leave naturally-dyed items exposed to the sun for long periods.
